Artist Liam Buckley chooses 4 of his favourite hits, ahead of his new show - see details below...24/4/2018 Drawing by Kim Montgomery. "David, Lou, Liam and Peter Hook with Liam's Scarf". Copyright © Kim Montgomery. Liam's next exhibition of paintings, "Guinness and Spiders", opens Thursday 3 May 2018, in Hoxton (see cargocollective.com/liambuckley for more details). Liam paints and draws (and has designed one of the best scarves I've seen in ages, as featured in my homage drawing above). What I love about Liam's art is that it is 'him'. His paintings and drawings feature people like David Bowie, The Beatles, Uncle Fester; compositions of interior scenes, which bring to mind early Hockney; food and drink, including McDonalds and Guinness; Picasso inspired shapes, colours, and figures; doodling not a million miles off Basquiat's. Go see "Guinness and Spiders", while you can. And now, here are Liam's song choices... Liam's favourite hits: 1. 'Age of Consent' by New Order 2. Sound and Vision by David Bowie 3. Foggy Notion by The Velvet Underground 4. I Really Need Love by The Bees
